Sean Dalfen is the President and Chief Investment Officer of the General Partner and Dalfen Industrial. He has oversight responsibility for all of Dalfen’s businesses, investment activities, strategic direction, and resources. After joining the firm in 2006, Sean was instrumental in the firm becoming one of the largest buyers of industrial real estate, having executed over $4 billion of transactions involving in excess of 40 million square feet of industrial properties in North America. Prior to Dalfen, Sean worked at NAI Commercial as an Investment Sales Broker where he was one of the company’s Top 10 producers in Canada.
Sean is involved in a variety of philanthropic activities and is a frequent speaker and panelist at private equity industry events in both Canada and the U.S. Sean studied Psychology and Finance at Tel Aviv University’s Lowy School and McGill University.

Murray Dalfen

Murray Dalfen is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Dalfen Industrial. Murray has held both the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer position since 1992, and together with Sean Dalfen, is responsible for the leadership and oversight of the firm. Under Murray and Sean’s leadership, Dalfen Industrial has successfully managed four real estate funds, which have owned, operated, and developed 35 million square feet of commercial property located in North America. Murray Dalfen began his career at Dalfen’s Limited, a family-apparel retail chain, and in 1992, Murray transitioned the direction of Dalfen’s Limited to focus exclusively on commercial real estate. In 2007, he organized the profitable sale of millions of dollars of commercial property ahead of the Great Recession. Since then, Murray and Sean have transitioned the company to focus exclusively on US Last Mile Industrial property.
Murray is a philanthropist and has also assumed a leadership role in many community organizations. Murray was named one of the winners of Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2017 Quebec.

Fred Tkalec is the Chief Financial Officer of Dalfen and will be a member of the Fund V investment committee. He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s accounting, compliance, reporting, and financing operations. He has extensive experience in securing debt and raising equity capital, transacting in the real estate market, investor relations, and risk management. Fred has facilitated in excess of $1 billion of dispositions and financing of acquisitions. Prior to joining Dalfen, Fred was a Senior Manager with Pricewaterhouse Coopers.
Fred earned a Bachelor of Commerce from McGill University and the Chartered Professional Accountancy Designation (CPA).

Mark Bowen is the Senior Vice President/Head of Acquisitions of Dalfen, is responsible for overseeing the firm’s investment activities across the U.S. Mark brings over 30 years of experience in real estate and finance from both the private and public institutional sectors. During his career, he has transacted and developed billions in real estate, including over 10 million square feet of development. Prior to joining Dalfen, Mark was a Senior Vice President with DCT Industrial Trust, Inc., the second largest industrial REIT in the US for 14 years. In this role, he was responsible for capital deployment, development, acquisitions, leasing, and management of teams in multiple markets. Mark also spent 15 years at General Electric Real Estate. In this role, he managed several offices in the Western U.S. and he and his team originated and developed industrial, multi-family, office, and retail opportunities.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Finance from Colorado State University. Mark is an active member of NAIOP and is a sponsor of the Denver and Phoenix Chapters of SIOR.

Shelly Drakes is the Executive Vice President of Asset Management of Dalfen. She is responsible for overseeing all property management and asset management initiatives, day-to-day operations of each property, lease negotiations, tenant satisfaction, and vendor management. Prior to joining Dalfen, Shelly handled management and leasing at Prentiss Properties (now PM Realty).
Shelly earned a Master of Science degree in Construction Management from the Florida International University School of Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Anthropology from Rollins College. She is also a member of NAIOP, BOMA and CREW, in addition to being active in several charitable organizations.

Max Gagliardi is the Managing Director of Capital Markets of Dalfen. He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s portfolio management, financing, dispositions, and deal structuring activities. Prior to joining Dalfen, Max served as a Research Analyst at Otera Capital, the real estate finance arm of the Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec (CDPQ).

Prior to her current role, Mariam held different positions with Dalfen, including Real Estate Associate on the Asset Management team, Acquisitions Coordinator, and Executive Assistant to the CIO.

Joseph Walker is the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of Dalfen and is responsible for all legal and compliance matters. He has experience in real estate investment management and private equity since 2014. Prior to joining Dalfen, Mr. Walker worked in private legal practice at Ballard Spahr LLP and Kirkland & Ellis LLP, where he advised private equity fund sponsors and real estate developers. Mr. Walker also served as Senior Corporate Counsel at Bridge Investment Group. In this role, he was responsible for the negotiation of joint venture agreements representing in excess of $1 billion in investor capital and formation of commercial office, seniors housing, and commercial real estate-backed fixed income funds.
Mr. Walker received his Bachelor of Science and Master of Accountancy with an emphasis in Taxation from the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University and his Juris Doctor from the J. Reuben Clark Law School at Brigham Young University.

Kevin Caille is Dalfen Industrial’s Market Officer for the Southeast Region of the United States. He is responsible for the acquisitions, development, and capital deployment strategies as well as oversees the operational aspects in these markets. Kevin has over 15 years of experience and has transacted in over $1 Billion in industrial real estate leasing and sales. He brings a unique perspective from both a brokerage and institutional ownership background. Prior to joining Dalfen, Kevin was a Vice President with DCT Industrial Trust, Inc. (NYSE: DCT), one of the largest industrial REIT’s in the United States. In this role he was responsible for overseeing the leasing, marketing, and portfolio management of a 13 million square foot industrial portfolio in Atlanta and Nashville, as well as source capital deployment opportunities through acquisitions and development.
Kevin received both his MBA and BBA with a concentration in real estate from the University of Georgia, and he is an active member of NAIOP.

Rich Weiss is the Market Officer for the West Coast and is responsible for the acquisition, development and asset management of all investments in the region. Rich has over 15 years of experience in the industry, most recently serving as a Principal at Investcorp. Rich spent over 8 years at Investcorp and was responsible for the sourcing and closing of transactions in excess of $3.5 billion across various geographies and product types. Prior to Investcorp, Rich spent two years as a Vice President in the Institutional Investment Sales Group of CBRE in New York, NY, and four years at Clarion Partners in Washington, DC and New York, NY.

Tom holds degrees in Finance and Economics from Southern Methodist University and a Masters in Real Estate from Georgetown University and is an active member of the Dallas chapters of NAIOP and ULI.
